Film: Nutrition around the world

In this film players and club staff talk about their favourite foods from different countries, and how the food players enjoy from all over the world can be incorporated into a balanced diet to support a footballer's training.

Starter activity: Continents of food

In this activity pupils look at selected dishes (or staple foods) from around the world and match them to the continent where they think they are traditionally found. The activity encourages pupils to look out for similarities and differences in foods from all over the world and start to consider how they can impact and enrich our diets.

In this activity, pupils will consider the variety of healthy diets around the world and, taking inspiration from these foods, design a balanced meal for a footballer of their choice.

Home activity: Try something new

In this activity pupils are challenged to put their learning into practice by cooking their full-time recipe, trying a new food, or by finding unusual ingredients in their local supermarket with an ingredient treasure hunt.
